Another week! 37 weeks, baby is growing and growing.
Now we wait for baby Grayson. Another week for him to grow and grow, how great! The past couple of weeks I feel like have been some drama filled days. Hospital visits and many phone calls! Sorry everyone. I have been so blessed to have had such an easy non-complicated pregnancy. So I can handle a few weeks of discomfort! I know I am not the only first time mom out there that has some drama the last few weeks before labor. I just feel bad for everyone else especially poor Scott.
So this week I have had some strong contractions since Monday night and just knew Tuesday when they were getting so close and more intense that we were heading to the hospital. BUT then they stayed that way all day and all night. Wednesday morning when we got to the doctors office (after hearing what was going on) Dr. Ross was apologizing coming into the room. I am sure he is always watching his back when dealing with pregnant hormones all day. He said he hates that he had to stop the labor last time and now we are in limbo. But we all know he had to for the baby’s sake. I said I would put on my big girl pants and deal with it. No problem.
Good news is he can feel the baby’s head and we continue to dilate a little every time. Contractions don’t get any closer but they don’t stop either. So everyday we get closer. He said it isn’t normal but also not abnormal. Some women just have contractions the whole time their body and baby are preparing to labor. They can’t induce since he is technically still early until 39 weeks. So we just wait, could be tonight or 2 weeks from now. Like I said I will have a great story to tell him or better yet when he is acting up remind him I was “in labor” with him for 3 weeks!
I also just found out there is a full moon tomorrow night so maybe just maybe the gravitational pull will help break my water and move me forward! We shall see if the old wives tale is correct. Let’s hope so!
But until then we all are anxiously waiting, and resting. But don’t be surprised if he waits to come Saturday evening when Alabama is once again playing in Atlanta. You know how us “Erbs” love to spoil Alabama games!!!! Or Scott is probably correcting me and saying the “new Erbs”! (I am, SE) haha
