We made it to 36 weeks, Yea!!!!!

We made it. For those of you who once again didn’t hear we made another run to the hospital. Gotta love the pre-labor test runs! Scott says he is just testing out each Labor and Delivery room to see which one he really wants. Room # 2 is too close to the nurse’s station they woke him up too early and # 8 had bad cable. Let’s hope we don’t make anymore test runs! Next time we leave with a baby.

So Friday morning we had another doctor’s appointment and after checking out he decided to send us down to L&D to stop the contractions again. After new meds they were able to stop the contractions but for only 2 hours. The new medicine was better at least no shakes but horrible headaches. After letting the contractions go for a few hours, they stayed the same but no pain this time. So the doctor made the call that he didn’t think the contractions would turn into labor and took the chance of coming off the medicine. Thank goodness! Still having contractions 2-3 minutes apart but still not painful. So they decided to send us home with more meds to take just incase. Again he said if labor contractions with pain started before Tuesday they would have to try to stop it again. BUT come Tuesday we were good to go.

So here we are. I can’t tell you how much better we both are sleeping not trying to time and wonder what we needed to do. After leaving the hospital Friday I was so confused and starting to get frustrated. But after hearing everyone out and somewhat understanding what they were doing, I’m better.  SO Now we just wait! The nurse said they had one lady that they finally stopped her contractions after 2 weeks, she ended up going past her due date and they had to induce her- that will probably be us! But the longer the better.  I am probably more relaxed now than Scott. Poor Scott is constantly asking what’s wrong; do we need to go to the hospital? We have another appointment this Wednesday morning, so we will see again what is going on.

We were able to make the baby shower this weekend which was just GREAT! We got to see everyone and had tons of laughs. After stressing out this past week it was great to sit back and have some fun. Plus homemade ice cream, great gifts and adorable kids don’t hurt either! Thank you all for a wonderful shower.
